Potters Syndrome
Our beautiful baby Alfie was born at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital on the 21st March 2008.
He was diagnosed with Potters syndrome on his 20 week scan, which is a rare condition where the
bladder, kidneys & renal artery do not form.
When Alfie was born he was perfect in every way, he had a tiny button nose, a cute little pout and
was really long for his gestation. His hands were the size of his dad's thumb nail and his tiny
feet were about half the size of his thumb.
Alfie meant the world to us, and was all the more special because of his condition. Not a day goes
by that we dont think of him and miss him with all our heart. We have explained to Jack
(Alfie's brother) that alfie was a poorly baby and too special to be with us so he has become
the brightest star in the sky.
Mummy & Daddy miss you Alfie, god bless you sweetheart, untill we meet again all our love.

hello my sweet boy im so sorry i haven't wrote to u in such a long time i haven't forgotten about u i miss u today as much as i did the day u went to heaven. Christmas was such a hard time for me son cz i missed u so so much and i no daddy did too. We would have done anything t have u there, although deep down i know u were in spirit. Ur little sister is due to arrive any day soon i promise i will bring her to ur garden for u to meet and will tell her all about u. Jack is always kissing your picture and says goodnight to the brightest star in the sky.....you. it will be your birthday soon and we will spoil u as much as we wud have if u were here. I thought of you and closed my eyes

I asked "What makes a Mother?"
And I know I heard Him say.
"A Mother has a baby"
This we know is true
"But God can you be a Mother,
when your baby's not with you?"
"Yes, you can," He replied
With confidence in His voice
"I give many women babies,
When they leave is not their choice.
